TK USA awards SMS Demag plant contract

SMS Demag Process Technologies GmbH, Vienna, Austria, has been awarded a contract to supply what it calls the world's largest hydrochloric acid regeneration plant for the new integrated rolling mill of ThyssenKrupp Steel USA LLC in Calvert, Ala.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ThyssenKrupp is currently in the process of constructing a new $4-billion-plus carbon and stainless steel production facility in Calvert.....
