China drives US ferrous exports up 8.6% in Oct.

U.S. ferrous scrap exports rose slightly in October despite a sharp one-month decline in shipments to Turkey and a milder one to Canada.
Shipments to Turkey plunged 61.2 percent to 187,018 tonnes in October from 482,176 tonnes the previous month following five successive months above 350,000 tonnes. Exports to Canada fell 32.5 percent to 127,279 tonnes from 188,611 tonnes in the same comparison, according to the latest data from the U.S. Commerce Department.....
