Brass mill imports fall in Oct., exports rise

U.S. imports of brass mill products fell 5.7 percent in October compared with the corresponding month a year earlier, while exports posted a modest increase in the same period, according to figures from the Copper and Brass Fabricators Council.
Imports of brass mill products fell to 46.5 million pounds in October from 49.3 million pounds in October 2007. The top suppliers to the U.S. during the month were Mexico (10.9 million pounds), China (8.6 million pounds) and Germany (5.2 million pounds).....
