Anglo American to cut spending in half in 2009

Anglo American Plc will slash spending by more than 50 percent next year through delays to the planned commissioning of some copper and iron ore projects.
The mining house said Wednesday it would limit capital expenditures to $4.5 billion in 2009, less than half its previous estimate, and spending levels for 2010 are being monitored with an eye....
