Several Chinese steel mills have raised list prices for cold-rolled coil by around 240 yuan ($35) per tonne, although domestic market prices have softened slightly to 4,050 to 4,100 yuan ($593 to $600) per tonne this week. Anshan Iron & Steel Co., China's fifth-largest steel mill, is raising its cold-rolled coil prices by 230 yuan ($34) per tonne for January production and delivery, while Lianyuan Iron & Steel Co., in south-central China, has raised its prices by 240 yuan for deliveries in late December, market sources said. "Steel mills are hoping the market may turn for the better and so lifted their prices, which has encouraged....
