Western Titanium Inc. has moved to reassure customers that its legal problems won't affect its ability to do business.
In a letter obtained by AMM, the San Diego-based distributor told its customers that "neither your company nor the products that you buy from Western Titanium are in any way involved in the dispute between our company and the government." Western Titanium declined to comment further.
Daniel Schroeder, the company's chief executive officer, and three other current or former company executives were indicted in federal court earlier this month, charged with criminal fraud for allegedly selling unauthorized material used on military aircraft and spacecraft (AMM, Dec. 15). They have all pleaded not guilty.....
