Mining groups welcome Salazar as Interior Secretary

Mining trade association officials are pleased with President-elect Barack Obama's nomination of Sen. Ken Salazar (D., Colo.) as Secretary of the Interior, although the move was not welcomed by some environmentalists who favored Rep. Raul Grijalva (D., Ariz.).
Salazar is "both an experienced policymaker and knowledgeable on the issues, so although we won't always agree we believe he is a man we can work with," said a National Mining Association (NMA) spokesman.....
