Copper exports tumble 17.2% in Oct.

U.S. copper and brass scrap exports skidded 17.2 percent in October from the previous month's pace as the Chinese sharply curtailed their buying.

Shipments sank to 80,637 short tons from 97,433 tons in September, according to the latest statistics from the U.S. Commerce Department, putting the year-to-date total at 892,049 tons, 7.2 percent ahead of 832,178 tons in the first 10 months of last year and still on....
