World copper surplus up sharply in first nine months

The world copper production surplus totaled 120,000 tonnes in the first nine months of this year, a 67-percent jump from the same period last year, according to preliminary data from the International Copper Study Group (ICSG), Lisbon.
The global surplus in September totaled 49,000 tonnes, or 87,000 tonnes seasonally adjusted.....
