Aleris lays off workers amid poor business conditions

Aleris International Inc. has confirmed moves to lay off a total of 81 employees at three of its plants in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Some 49 workers have been furloughed at two plants in Friendly, W.Va., and 32 workers at the Lewisport, Ky., rolling mill will be furloughed....
