Siemens admits corruption charges, fined $1.33 billion

Siemens AG will pay more than $1.33 billion in fines in the United States and Germany to settle corruption charges.
The Munich-based engineering company, which acknowledged making unlawful payments to secure business, will pay $800 million in penalties in the United States and another $533.6 million to European authorities, the largest amount a company has ever paid to resolve corruption-related charges.....
