Spanish shipper suing over ‘abandoned’ steel

Spain's Barna Conshipping SL has filed suit in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to appropriate 2,000 tonnes of "abandoned" steel sitting on board a ship anchored off the coast of Norfolk.
Barna "was engaged to deliver the cargo to the Port of Norfolk, where it was to be offloaded at the expense of its purchaser, Commercial Metals Co. (CMC)," the lawsuit states. The bill of lading says the load consists of 405....
