Steel group targets Obama trade action

President-elect Barack Obama is still weeks away from being inaugurated, but those with steel and trade-related interests are already gearing up for change.

The Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, a major port for steel imports, is promising to closely monitor trade action by the new administration.

Dennis Rochford, president of the Philadelphia-based exchange and a member of the board of directors of the American Institute for International Steel (AIIS), Washington, wrote in the exchange's most recent newsletter that trade vigilance on steel imports is one of several key issues for the new administration.....
