Ivanhoe to buy SouthGobi’s Mongolian metals projects

SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia, has sold its metals division to Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. for $3 million.

The sale, which still needs regulatory approval, will allow SouthGobi to focus on its Mongolian metallurgical and thermal coal projects while providing Ivanhoe with the opportunity to expand its base....
