Commerce review ups Essar’s hot roll margin

The U.S. Department of Commerce is conducting an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain hot-rolled carbon steel products from India.
The preliminary results of the review—covering the period from Jan. 1, 2007, to Dec. 31, 2007—resulted in a net subsidy rate of 21.95 percent for Essar Steel Ltd., Mumbai, India, vs. a prior rate of 17.5....
