NAM, AISI welcome Sutton as manufacturing czar

Manufacturing associations welcomed the confirmation of William G. (Woody) Sutton to serve as the U.S. Commerce Department's assistant secretary of Manufacturing and Services, sometimes referred to as the manufacturing "czar."
Sutton was unanimously confirmed by the Senate earlier this month.
"The steel industry supports Woody Sutton's (confirmation) as the nation's 'manufacturing czar' because he has the firsthand knowledge and experience to advocate a pro-competitive agenda to keep American manufacturing strong," said Andrew G.
