Precoat acquires Chicago Metallic subsidiary CFM

Precoat Metals, a division of Sequa Corp., New York, has purchased the assets of Chesapeake Finished Metals Inc. (CFM), Elkridge, Md., from ceiling systems manufacturer Chicago Metallic Corp. for an undisclosed price.
In January, Precoat bought Chicago Metallic's Chicago Finished Metals coil-coating unit in Bridgeview, Ill. (AMM, Jan. 19). John Medio, assistant treasurer of Chicago Metallic, had said then that talks with Sequa on the Maryland plant were continuing.....
