Lennox closing Illinois refrigeration plant

Heating and air conditioning manufacturer Lennox International Inc., Dallas, plans to close its refrigeration facility in Danville, Ill., eliminating 270 hourly jobs, and consolidate the operations at two plants in Georgia.

The Danville plant manufactures evaporators and other heat-transfer products for commercial refrigeration applications. Executives said in a statement that the manufacturing, support and warehouse functions would be consolidated with the....
