Alma Iron & Metal opens new $3M yard in Michigan

Alma Iron & Metal Co. Inc., Alma, Mich., has opened a new $3-million scrapyard in an industrial park in the small city in central Michigan, paving the way for a municipal riverfront redevelopment project at the downtown site it vacated.
David Simon, who co-owns Alma with brother Roger, said the company completed the relocation of its business in April. The new facility was constructed in a Brownfield Redevelopment District adjacent to the Alma Certified Industrial Park.....
