Copper scrap bids hit $3.15/lb. in military sale

Copper scrap values reached as high as $3.15 a pound at a recent online military auction.

A Pennsylvania lot of "copper-bearing items" that attracted the winning bid included pipe in 20-foot lengths and wire. A copper lot in Utah, won by a buyer willing to pay $2.72 a pound, included bare copper wire, sheets and transformers.....
