Memphis Mill Services prepares to start up at new Nucor facility

Memphis Mill Services Co. expects to bring its scrap- and slag-handling operations on-stream at Nucor Corp.'s new special bar quality (SBQ) mill in Memphis, Tenn., by next month.
Memphis Mill, a unit of Detroit-based Edward C. Levy Co., also will manage the Mississippi River dock facility at the new steel mill in the city's Frank C. Pidgeon Industrial Park, according to Tom Smith, Levy's area manager. The 3,000-acre industrial park is just south of downtown Memphis.....
