Smelters’ aluminum scrap buying prices show scattered gains

Some smelter buying prices for aluminum scrap have moved higher by a cent or two, although quotations seem more dispersed than usual.
A few respondents reported no change, one significant seller reported pushing many of the major items up by 2 cents and yet others noted an assortment of 1-cent gains. AMM data puts mixed low-copper clips at 79 to 80 cents a pound and old sheet and cast at 76 to 78 cents a pound, up by 1 cent in both cases.....
