Metalico’s earnings double to $5.3M in 3d qtr. [UPDATE]

Metalico Inc., Cranford, N.J., saw third-quarter net income more than double to $5.3 million on sales that rose 84.5 percent to $102.1 million.
The scrap processor, secondary aluminum smelter and lead products fabricator's revenue gain between the two quarters was largely due to acquisitions of an Ohio scrapyard, a New Jersey recycler of platinum from catalytic converters and a Pennsylvania company recycling molybdenum and other noble metals.....
