Redemtech taps Mejia for environmental role

Jim Mejia, a veteran California recycling executive, has joined Redemtech Inc., Columbus, Ohio, as head of its environmental advisory practice.

Mejia will be vice president of environmental affairs, a new position.

Redemtech processes discarded electronics in Columbus, Reno, Nev., and Richmond, Va., with an emphasis on removing all components that might still be functional.

Mejia's role will be to oversee Redemtech's Environmental Management System. This is a consultancy effort that helps companies to improve their environmental sustainability and to insure that the shredded materials from their electronic discards are routed to destinations that avoid hazards and landfills.....
