Redemtech taps Mejia for environmental role

Jim Mejia, a veteran California recycling executive, has joined Redemtech Inc., Columbus, Ohio, as head of its environmental advisory practice.

Redemtech processes discarded electronics in Columbus, Reno, Nev., and Richmond, Va., with an emphasis on removing all components that might still be functional.

Mejia, who will be vice president of environmental affairs, a new position, will oversee Redemtech's Environmental Management System, a consultancy effort that helps companies to improve their environmental sustainability and ensure that shredded materials from their electronic discards are routed to destinations that avoid hazards and landfills.....
