Denman & Davis to provide plate for two ferries

Denman & Davis, Clifton, N.J., has landed a contract to help build two ferries. Blount Boats Inc., Warren, R.I., commissioned the service center to provide steel plate and value-added metalworking services for its current ferry projects.

Blount Boats will use steel from Denman & Davis to construct the hulls of two ferries, as well as other ship components requiring steel plate. The first vessel, a 162-foot ferry for the Puerto Rico Transit Authority, requires 260 tons of steel plate.....
