India’s pre-ship inspection plan for scrap stays

The Indian government will continue its pre-shipment inspections of scrap metal imports despite abandoning plans to create a registration system.
"The government has decided not to implement the registration system, but the existing system of pre-shipment inspections will continue indefinitely," said an official at India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade in New Delhi.....
