Secondary ingot up 1¢/lb.; costs seen driving more gains

Spot prices for secondary aluminum ingot have generally risen a cent a pound in the past week, although some producers are quoting higher in the belief that the market will soon catch up.

One seller, officially quoting $1.11 a pound for A380.1, acknowledged accepting $1.10 for the time being. Another was pushing for $1.12 a pound, while another significant player said its price hadn't moved past $1.085 yet. AMM's range is $1.09 to $1.10 a pound.....
