ISA profits slip amid shipping container woes

Industrial Services of America Inc.(ISA), Louisville, Ky., registered third-quarter net income of $383,159, down 12.8 percent from $439,568 in the year-earlier quarter, on sales that rose 16.9 percent to $17.9 million.
The company, a scrap processor that also offers logistics and waste services, noted some difficulty getting shipping containers for scrap in late September, a situation that eased in October after the quarter ended. The resulting surge, to be tallied in the fourth quarter, put October nonferrous shipping volume 76 percent higher than the year-earlier level.....
