N. American steel finds Europe buyers; some see door closing

LONDON — Traders of hot-rolled coil in the European Union have received a flurry of offers from steelmakers worldwide but say they still favor intra-European trade.

North American mills continue to look for export business. One major European trader said he had booked a total of 30,000 tonnes of hot-rolled coil from Nucor Corp., Charlotte, N.C., ArcelorMittal USA's Sparrows Point,....
