WCI blast furnace slated to restart this week

The blast furnace at WCI Steel Inc. will be up and running later this week after a fire put it out of commission earlier this month.
"We began loading the blast furnace Sunday and we expect to produce production-quality iron later this week," Tim Roberts, WCI's public affairs manager, said. The remainder of the front end—the basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and caster—will begin production sequentially.....
