ArcelorMittal to start expansion at Vitoria

ArcelorMittal Tubarao, formerly known as Cia. Siderúrgica de Tubarão, will start up the planned expansion of its hot-rolled mill at its Vitoria Works in March 2009.

It will accompany an expansion, now also confirmed, of the group's Vega do Sul galvanizing plant, said Jose Armando Campos, ArcelorMittal Brasil's president. Tubarao`s mill, installed in 2002, is currently producing 2.8 million tonnes of hot-roll coil annually, 40 percent more than....
