Comment period on Chinese firms’ market status extended

The U.S. Commerce Department's request for public comment on whether to consider granting market-economy status to individual Chinese companies has been extended until Dec. 10.

It's unclear why Commerce changed the timeline, but sources said it was not unusual for the government to do so. The comments were originally due....
