Thompson begins work at Bloom Lake project

Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Ltd. has begun development work at its Canadian $410-million Bloom Lake iron ore project.

About C$8 million will be spent to clear ground, build access roads and install a 34.5-kilovolt power line, the Toronto-based company said. About 50 people should be employed on the project by year's end, but construction should eventually create about 400....
