Lead-acid battery shipments slip in October

Replacement automotive battery shipments in October dipped by 2.5 percent to 8.4 million units compared with the same period last year, according to the Battery Council International (BCI).
October shipments were also down 5.3 percent from September's 8.85 million units.
Total North American battery shipments in the first 10 months of this year nudged up 1.3 percent to 80.7 million units from the same period last year, BCI said.....
