Senate committee passes cap-and-trade bill

Few surprises were produced as a climate change bill that would cap greenhouse gas emissions and set up a market for trading emissions passed the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee by an 11-8 vote.
"This is the most far-reaching global warming bill in the world," Sen. Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.), chairwoman of the committee, said following the vote.....
