Emal to develop aluminum smelter in Algeria

Emirates Aluminum LLC (Emal) plans to develop a primary aluminum smelter in Algeria in partnership with Algerian state energy group Sonatrach.
The proposed smelter, to be built in northwestern Algeria on a 988-acre site in the new industrial and port zone of Beni-Saf, would have an initial capacity of 700,000 tonnes per year, expandable later to 1.4 million tonnes.....
