Magna’s Hogan stepping down as president Dec. 31 [UPDATE]

Mark Hogan, president of major auto parts supplier Magna International Inc., will be stepping down from the company Dec. 31.

Hogan is leaving to "pursue other opportunities," the Aurora, Canada-based company announced Friday.

It wasn't immediately clear what Hogan's plans were, but other media reports suggested he had been offered a position at another company.

The departure comes as Magna's Austrian subsidiary secured a deal that's expected to generate $1 billion in sales annually, the company said in a separate statement.....
