Mills set 5% specialty tubing hike

Four steel mills have slated 5-percent increases on specialty tubing prices for the New Year, citing rising energy and raw material costs.

U.S. Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, appears to have kicked off the moves, saying in a letter to customers that non-contract base prices for drawn-over-mandrel, cold-drawn seamless, hot-finish electric resistance welded and hot-finish seamless....
