Russia’s KUMZ lands Boeing supply agreement

JSC Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works (KUMZ) of Russia and its U.S sales agent, A.S. Mill Products Inc. (ASMP), Red Bank, N.J., have signed a long-term supply agreement with Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Renton Wash., a unit of Boeing Co., Chicago.
"This agreement with Boeing is a step forward in the ongoing development of the KUMZ plant," Vladimir I. Skornyakov, president, said in a statement.
KUMZ said it has invested more than $100 million over the past two years upgrading casting, rolling and heat-treat capabilities at its Chkalovsky plate facility.....
