EPA holds hearings on USS water permit for Indiana facility

U.S. Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, made its plea in hearings this week with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The steelmaker is seeking to renew its wastewater permit, a process necessary every five years, in order to continue to discharge wastewater into the Grand Calumet River from its Gary (Ind.) Works.....
