Greer Steel upgrading its slitting operations

Cold-rolled strip processor Greer Steel, which recently boosted its coil handling capability, is also upgrading its slitting operation.
The Dover, Ohio, subsidiary of privately-held Greer Industries Inc., which also has a service center in Ferndale, Mich., has installed a 40-ton, top-running crane to service its pickling and primary slitting departments. It is also looking to put in a new slitting line in the first quarter next year.....
