Katanga begins output at Congo copper mine

Copper cathode production has begun at Katanga Mining Ltd.'s Kamoto joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Toronto-based company said Tuesday.

The company said the first cathode has been stripped in the starter sheet section of the Luilu metallurgical plant following an 18-month, $176-million....
