Rising overseas costs cut CMC’s profits 19%

Commercial Metals Co. (CMC) blamed lower profits and higher costs at its international mills for a 19-percent decline in net income to $69.2 million in its fiscal first quarter despite sales that increased 11.8 percent to $2.12 billion compared with the same period last year.....
