Leggett & Platt moving on aluminum business sale

Leggett & Platt Inc., Carthage, Mo., has taken the first steps in the process to sell its aluminum products division.
The diversified manufacturer said in November that it planned to shed seven business units in a move that would decrease revenue by $900 million but yield after-tax proceeds of approximately $400 million (AMM, Nov. 14).....
