New legal decision on Cananea job action expected early in ’08

A new decision on the legality of a nearly five-month-long strike at Grupo Mexico SA de CV's Cananea copper mine in Sonora state is expected early next year, a source close to the company said.
A federal circuit court judge last week sent the case back to the labor court because certain resolutions have to be reassessed, the source said. "It's starting over again because some of the formalities were not assessed. It is likely that once the formalities have been perfected a new decision on the legality could be issued by the labor....
