US copper, brass exports get Chinese boost

Thanks to stronger sales to Chinese consumers, U.S. exports of copper and brass scrap jumped 13.9 percent to 94,780 short tons in October from 83,319 tons the previous month.

The October figure was marginally short of the 94,895 tons exported in August, the highest monthly total so far this year, and also trailed the 95,244-ton tally logged in October last year, according to the U.S. Commerce Department.....
