World steel output rises at slower pace in Nov.

World raw steel production continued to rise in November, albeit at a slower pace than previously, according to the latest statistics from the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI), Brussels.
Output from the 67 countries reporting steel production figures to the IISI totaled 109 million tonnes, up 4 percent from the same month last year, putting the year-to-date total at 1.21 billion tonnes, a 7.7-percent increase from the first 11 months of last year.
China continued to drive increased production, with November output of 39.7 million tonnes up 4.3 percent from a year earlier.
North America logged production of 10.96 million tonnes in November, up 8.1 percent from 10.1 million tonnes in November last year. U.S. production totaled 8.04 million tonnes, an 8.5-percent increase from a year earlier, while Canadian output jumped 11.5 percent to 1.35 million tonnes.....
