Ormet’s Hannibal restart almost complete

Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio, has 65 percent of its sixth and final potline running at its 260,000-tonne-per-year aluminum smelter, according to Mike Tanchuk, president and chief executive officer.
The company expects to reach full production by the end of the year, Tanchuk told analysts Wednesday. In November, the smelter averaged just 768 active pots out of a total of 1,032, and work is being done to raise the number of active pots on the other five lines as well, he said.....
