Construction, aerospace are centers’ ’08 hot market picks

Construction and aerospace might stand to be the best-performing end-use sectors in 2008, but the housing market will continue to give cause for concern, executives of major U.S. service centers said.
Non-residential construction is "the only thing that's happening at the moment," Edward M. (Bud) Siegel, president and chief executive officer of Mississauga, Ontario-based Russel Metals Inc., said at an AMM roundtable discussion. "Residential (construction) is slow . . . non-residential construction is where we're seeing activity."....
